SOCOTEC UK strengthens its offering within the specialist surveying area with the acquisition of leading independent coastal surveying company, Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys Ltd.

SOCOTEC UK, the market leader in testing, inspection, certification (TIC) in the construction and environment sectors is pleased to announce the acquisition of Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys Ltd.  Aspect, based in Irvine, Scotland, is a leading independent coastal surveying company renowned for its high-resolution hydrographic and land & utility surveying services.

Aspect specialises in hydrographic surveys, oceanographic services, geophysical surveys, environmental surveys, ROV Inspection surveys, LiDAR mapping, and utility and land surveying. Utilising advanced technology and equipment, such as UAVs and multi-purpose vessels, they provide high-resolution data and integrated turn-key solutions to clients across various sectors, including utilities, ports & harbours, defence, renewables, environment, construction, buildings, mines, and quarries.

The acquisition further enhances SOCOTEC UK’s existing land-based surveying capabilities, enabling access to a growing and specialist surveying market with strong opportunities for local expansion.
