Remotely Operated Vehicle Survey
ROVs are unoccupied, highly manoeuvrable underwater machines that can be used to explore ocean depths while being operated by someone at the water surface.
The FALCON ROV system is a reliable powerful observation & inspection ROV. Highly versatile regarding its size, the FALCON ROV has an exceptional 1:1 power to weight ratio. Its four vectored powerful thrusters allow to work in hard conditions of current. The free-flying configuration allows to operate from light vessel or surfer. It includes a 300m winch with slip ring and a mobile control unit with video overlay and daily readable display.
At the front of the Blue ROV 2 is a high definition (1080p, 30fps) wide-angle low-light camera optimized for use on the ROV. It’s mounted to a tilt mechanism so that the pilot can control the camera tilt to look up or down, even when the ROV is level, this ROV has a depth range of 100m.
The vessel is a safe and stable working platform for any ROV, Hydrographic, Geophysical, Geotechnical or Oceanographic project. She is fitted with a large moon pool, over-the-side pole mount, 5m 5T A-Frame and a 5.25T deck crane. The selection of deck machinery allows deployment of a variety of sensors including; Multibeam Echosounders, Geophysical Equipment, ROV’s, Vibrocorers and Towed-wing Magnetometer arrays.
