Following completion of both a multibeam bathymetric and UAV aerial drone survey at Nigg Bay, Aberdeen a surface model of the combined data sets was issued to the client.
Impressed at the quality of the data over the 1sq kilometre coastal inlet site, the data processing software manufacturer (Hypack Inc) requested permission to submit the imagery to the publishers of Sea Technology magazine, a global publication within the hydrographic and maritime survey industry.
The image was so well received that it featured on the front cover of the March 2015 edition and acknowledged that the survey was carried out utilizing a R2Sonic 2024 MBES and a Trimble UX5 HP drone.
The survey was completed and processed within Hypack HYSWEEP software by Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys Ltd using specialist in-house personnel.
